Sheathing Tape – Building Wrap Tape – 826 Series

Sealing building wrap seams and overlaps in new construction

Exterior wall sheathing joints

Window and door flanges and frames

Patching jobsite damage caused to fragile wall sheathings such as foam and fiberboard

Description

Aggressive, UV-resistant solvent acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive combined with the conformability of UV stabilized polypropylene film provides superior sealing, protective benefits, and ease of handling that are the characteristics of a high-quality product. Designed and engineered primarily for permanent seaming and sealing of joints in foam insulation and other sheathing materials, to secure lap edges in house wraps and other vapor barriers, repair rips and tears in roll and batt insulation, construction films and membranes. Eliminates drafts around window and door openings. Superior bonding at sub-zero (as low as -40°C) or at elevated temperatures.

FEATURES
• High performance acrylic adhesive provides long-term bond to a variety of building materials.
• Excellent performance and superior adhesion even at low temperatures.
• Aggressive tack for instantaneous bond.
• Superior shear strength for sustained vertical hold.
• Provides added protection against loss of energy due to air infiltration by sealing gaps and crevices in sheathing or house wrap material.
• Used to repair small tears or punctures on existing house wrap materials to extend life.
