Acrylic CS tapes are best for long-term adhesion and aging, ideal for warehouse storage, inventory and export cartons, offering a wide temperature performance, better UV resistance, but better for light to medium weight cartons.
Hot Melt rubber CS tapes provide high initial tack (quick stick) grabbing the box immediately. This provides faster application and packing efficiency. HM tapes also provide stronger holding power (shear strength) making it better for heavier cartons, overstuffed boxes and recycled corrugate.
Water activated tapes (WAT) are made with strong paper and reinforced fibers and a starch-based adhesive that forms a chemical bond to the carton (a weld). It is by far the strongest of the printed tape options – providing durability and tamper-evidence even without the print.
